Fragmentos do Nepal  (Fragments of Nepal)

Este trabalho é resultado de uma pesquisa que venho realizando sobre as religiões budista e hinduísta no Nepal. Os registros fotográficos foram realizados nos anos de 2014, 2017 e 2019, antes e depois do terremoto que assolou o país em 2015. A forte conexão entre os nepaleses os auxiliou a reinventar seus caminhos, entre escombros e incertezas, numa demonstração de que religião é mais do que apenas som e fumaça. Nepal é um país extremamente religioso e repleto de simbolismos. Busquei gestos, persegui rituais, pesquisei detalhes, explorei símbolos de ambas religiões, não para diferenciá-las, ao contrário, para evidenciar a grande harmonia que existe entre ambas.

Nepal is a very religious country that has a great religion syncretism with the buddhism and hinduism, both religions share faiths and worship common deities in temples and monasteries. I've been studying Nepali religiosity since 2014. Last year (2019) I went back there for the third time, I photographed buddhism and hinduism rituals, my intention was not to differ the religions, instead I focused on the delicate gestures, the cerimonies, the beliefs that are common to both religions. I dived deeper in an effort to bring to light the great harmony and the depth devotion that exists between them.
